Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain in Rome, also known as Fontana di Trevi, is one of the most famous fountains in the world. Built between 1732 and 1762, this architectural marvel was designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and later completed by Giuseppe Pannini after Salvi's death. Nestled in the Trevi district, it stands at the intersection of three roads (tre vie), symbolizing its connection to ancient Roman water sources, including the Acqua Vergine aqueduct, which once supplied water to Roman soldiers.
